One of the things most crafters struggle with the most is what settings to cut their materials on.
Cricut design space has a lot of materials pre-programmed and those materials have different pressure settings to get the perfect cut depending on what material you are cutting.
The other thing I found is that different material have different thicknesses so what you have used to cut one brand of glitter card might completely not work on another brand of glitter cardstock. The same goes for Vinyl, you could find you waste a lot of materials because you haven't got the correct pressure settings.
When i started my crafting journey I can say that i wasted a lot of materials trying to figure out what setting to cut on.
I have to say that even now I still sometimes waste paper and this is because i am often too lazy to do a test cut.
My 1st advise is to perform a practise cut till you get the perfect setting to cut out your material, then you can start cutting out your project.
Here are my most commonly used tried and tested settings for cutting out cardstock on cricut.
